Two-Face Day 6

I can almost squint at you internet. I've got some movement returning in my mouth. Nicole politely doesn't stare as my lips go all over the place when I converse.

Now for some eyedrops. I friggin' hate eye drops. It's the anticipation that I hate. Just... waiting, waiting for the drop. Ew ew ew. I suspect Mr Dent would have to use special perservative free eye drops, because I'm willing to bet his tear ducts don't work so well and normal eye drops expect you to have some moisture. I'm lucky, my right eye has been tearing up a storm, but my Bell's Palsy seems to be pretty low key all and all.

Pimping Bishounen Two-Face Day 5

I am going to DC Hell. This is Pimping Bishounen Two-Face.
Yes. We've already reached that point. It was supposed to be something I could draw fast. And.... well.... I'm going to be inking and toning it now.

Two-Face Day 4

Good news! My right bottom eye lid has regained minor movement. I can raise it a bit. In revenge, it occasionally decides that the best way to proceed is to develop an tic so I look a bit like evil Data.

Two-Face Day 3

My poor right eye doesn't shut all the way after a whole tiring day of opening and closing.

Two-Face Day 2 and Explanation

Me and Two-Face. We've got a lot in common right now. Both of us have an issue with half of face and half our expressions. We both hate the mob. We both have a legitimate fear of bed sheets scratching our eyes. Smiling at puppies and children may get us strange stares or at least polite averting of eyes.

Now there are differences. I've got bell's palsy, which will go away in a while and just leaves half my face immobile. Two-Face's left, my right. Two-Face is half permanently angry, I'm half permanently confused. Two-Face's looks like it might hurt, I only feel a bit tired. I still have all eyelids and can blink in both eyes. Two-Face is permanently disfigured and hideous, and I'm still cute. Also to date, I'm still not a supervillan, I don't have hired thugs renamed with my theme and I have unfortunately not met Batman.

But I now can make awesome Two-Face expressions and to celebrate my new found split face, I'm going to draw a Two-Face for every day I have a distinct expression difference split down the middle.

How long? How long will that be? To quote my doc, I dunno. Eventually I'll get better. Till then, let us enjoy a bunch of Two-Face sketches.

Today's Two-Face is brought to you by my very dear Batman: The Animated Series in it's Bruce Timm glory. I love B:TAS! I still love you!

Two-Face Day 1

Two-Face sketch. But today is the beginning of Two-Face days. More on that tomorrow and probably another Two-Face. Today has been a looooong day.

Not really following any special Batman anything. Prolly not a specially good Two-Face. But I didn't want to miss day one and there will be plenty of days to draw all my favorite Two-Faces.

Safari!

I was feeling artsy. I'm not posting the two real winners of the night here yet- two fake comic pages- but the first one will be going up at DA momentarily.

I brought a brush pen (mitsubishi sumi-e SUPER AWESOME) and a pumpkin orange color pencil. The only drawing other than the comics I'm not posting was the vague attempt to spot color with the pencil before I decided to draw entirely in orange.

These are the 5 minute poses.

Here's some of the longer poses, in between when I was drawing fakity fake comic pages:Final pose. 20 min, but didn't spend the full time:

Wonderland Sketches from Class2

More class sketches.

Someone's being a grump in my notes.
Elise in a slip. And oh look, anatomy reference.
Elise and poor Horace. And more notes!
I love that this one has a simple rhino drawn in the bottom corner.

Wonderland Sketches from Class

Now for the first set of sketches from my actual sketchbook. I rarely draw in a sketchbook, but they're too excellent for taking notes and taking good notes from The Concept Design Academy. Most are from Kevin Chen's amazing class.
I can never sit still- so here's a bunch of drawing I did during class.

Doris and Cleo are hanging out by the binding.

Just two of August under some anatomy notes.

A post-it note drawing. This one's actually from Jay Olivia's super awesome Storyboarding class.
Doris layin' around some anatomy notes. Oh noes, boobies. My blog is no longer child safe.

300!

I didn't finish drawing most of them, because I was distracted by drawing muscles!

Poison Ivy

I just scanned an epic pile of stuff last night, so I have plenty (more than plenty) to upload.
Let's start with the Drawing Club, and the delightful Poison Ivy. I love costume drawing and Batman. Together at last!
I wish more had turned out of Stacey Jack's rendition of Pamela Isely. I loved the scientist outfit.
Sob. Where are her feet? Where are her feet? Cough.

I absolutely could not resist addin' Harle Quinn. The moment I saw that pose, I knew I needed a Harle. There be plans to finish that final one.

Battlestar Galactica

I've been busy- check out that name on the bottom left!

I think I'm starting feeling moved into the new Burbank place and am finding my sketches from the last six months and quickly adding more to the piles. I'm not sure what I'll be able to show new quite yet- but I have plenty of old stuff that can now be seen.
